Why gold?

Getting the heat where it belongs
The shape of the Reflector is everything. We use parabolic or elliptical curves to squeeze that energy into a tight focal point. It creates a high-density heat zone. It’s intense. It’s fast. And it means your ramp-up times drop significantly. But here’s the catch: if your reflector is pitted or slightly off-spec, you’ll get “cold spots.” That’s a nightmare. It leads to uneven curing, which usually means the part is scrap.
A few things to watch out for
Now, gold is the gold standard for a reason, but it’s soft. It can’t handle a beating. If you use abrasive cleaners or get rough with them, you’ll scratch the coating. Those scratches aren’t just ugly—they create points where heat gets absorbed instead of reflected. That can actually cause the reflector housing to overheat. Keep it simple: wear gloves and use non-reactive cleaners. These are designed to be drop-in replacements for your current racks, so swapping them out is easy. Just make sure your lamp is dead-center. If it’s even slightly skewed, your focal point shifts, and you lose all those efficiency gains we talked about.
